“Small delay with pick-up, but after it everything went perfectly. It was the second time we have participated on this tour, but this time our guide was much better - not only better but fantastic good - than the earlier. The information we received during the walk was very interesting, not more than necessary but not less then needed. The wines were excellent and the pork, received for lunch, was amazing.”
Visit family-run Bodegas Monje in El Sauzal for a 90-minute guided cellar tour and four wine-and-cheese pairings. Expect Dragoblanco, Hollera, MonjeTradicional, and barrel-aged Listán Negro, with English tours led by guides such as Irine, Sonya, or Claudia. The Atlantic and Mount Teide views are part of the appeal.

“super leerzaam en leuk. de banenplantsge is enorm leerzaam en interactief (je mag aan de planten zitten en voelen hoe stevig de bladeren zijn. daarnaast mag je wat producten proeven en heeft de gids veel kennis over de planten). Daarna door naar de wijntasting. het eten is niet een echte lunch maar wel eigen gemaakte mojo en heerlijke wijnen. De eigenaar is een man vol humor die het enorm leuk doet. vooral de twee witte wijnen zijn fantastisch maar de andere zijn ook erg lekker. Ook weer leuke informatie over de vulkanische grond en hoe de wijnteelt anders gaat dan in Europa. Aanrader!”
